The framework purchase contract is often referred to as a framework or roof order. It is essentially a long-term agreement between the procurement department and the supplier of equipment or services for a defined period of time. The purchasing department negotiates with the supplier a number of conditions for the duration of the contract. In many areas® SAP follows a concept of document category and document type. The class of record is a rough classification, the type of document is the finer differentiation of the class of record. When analyzing an order scenario, you may be interested in the following four categories of documents: a contract is a longer-term agreement with a supplier (one of the two forms of “framework contract” in the SAP system) for the supply of equipment or service for a specified period. The purchasing literature may use different terms for this concept, including “framework order”, “framework contract”, “system contract” and “period contract”. The agreements laid the foundation for long-term structured procurement. But concretely, what is the individual purchase on the basis of an agreement? Here too, we talk about “call-offs”. These are specific specific contracts, with reference to the framework agreement. When establishing a contract, you can choose between the following types of contracts: delivery plans, on the other hand, are more oriented towards quantities and in addition towards concrete quantities of delivery on certain delivery dates (we speak of classifications). One could easily say that these are more binding quantitative contracts – but in the analysis of data at SAP® they appear separately with a separate category of supporting documents compared to volume or value contracts. But later. The terms of a framework contract apply up to a specified period and cover a certain quantity or predefined value. Data Model: Orders and Framework Contracts Things are getting exciting (at least for data analysts): Framework contracts such as volume contracts, value contracts and delivery plans are not stored in their own tables, but also in the EKKO and EKPO tables. Don`t be confused by names or take them to the letter. A framework contract is a long-term sales contract with a seller that contains conditions for the material to be delivered by the seller. The upddization of the sharing document is based on the type of agreement.
The type of agreement decides that the release is made with respect to the target value or target quantity of the contract. A framework purchase agreement consists of the following elements: framework contracts are an important topic that we must constantly address in our data analyses for the purchase.
